Following on from the very successful Skyberry, this Australian Mountain Top is the next step along. One thing that I didn't like about the skyberry was that sometimes the quality of the green coffee wasn't as good as it should be. It rarely affected the quality of the cup, but it made it much harder to achieve a consistent roast. This coffee is great quality and with a little twist. It is fruity, but without being to acidic which means this coffee unlike the Skyberry works very well in the espresso machine. But don't let that put you off filter/ French press drinkers, as its adaptable and will delight your taste buds with its delicate strawberry's am blackcurrants.

The difference between this one and skyberry is in the preparation, the green quality is way better. There's been a lot of time spent making sure they keep improving. I was lucky enough to meet the owner Andrew Ford on the cup of excellence jury for Bolivia 2005, and let me tell you these guys are very focused and very keen to keep up the improvements. I love this in a blend and its probably more of and espresso coffee than a filter, but its so versatile. On its own in a blend in espresso in filter in your shopping cart! |
