This is a coffee that has fallen on my cupping table one bag way too late, and it's only a whistle stop while we wait for the new crop Machacamarca. Don't let that fool you though, this is very good coffee that came 3rd in the 2005 Cup of Excellence. I was on that jury and it was one of my favorites.
Grown in the San Ignacio region, in the cup expect a big aroma of sweetness and chocolate. When you drink it there is a wave of chocolate and smoothness, with a hint of sweet red currant and a very slight bite of pear acidity. A complex cup that's a great single origin espresso and wonderful filter. A great all rounder.
