Description:
El Libano farm belongs to Coopeatenas R.L, and is located in San Isidro district at 1,200 meters above sea level. In the farm you can find the varieties of Caturra and CatuaĆ that grows along 10 hectares of coffee plantation.
This farm represents the hard work that each of the 1,500 associates face day by day to take care of this coffee plantation.
This coffee was a great surprise to me, being from a largish cooperative, and not being that traceable to anyone, it warmed me to think that the whole coop got rewarded. Its also way under valued, we were happy to pay more for this coffee, but that's what happens in auctions, the market decides the price, well they were wrong on this occasion and we all get to enjoy this coffee for a good price while the coop still got a 100% on market price reward. Good times for everyone.
In the cup expect golden syrup in taste, after-taste and the mouthfeel. Thick gloupy coffee that's fantastic single origin espresso. Complex flavours with lots of body, but enough about it to cut through milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
