This Costa Rican is from the San Paolo region of the Tarrazu valley. Tarrazu's are famous for the qualities of being very clean, and consistent in their very high quality processing and final cup.
Its mouth feel reminded me of honey, with its big body. In the cup it's naturally very sweet and again I still get honey and a little berry fruit. This fades into a dark chocolate tone in the after taste.
So in summary a good clean consistent honey mouthfeel, honey taste, sweet, berry fruit with dark chocolate tones. So I guess it's quite a complex cup.
Costa Rica is full of good coffee. But Costa Rica is a difficult region for me to find exceptional coffee's from as they are very much of a muchness. Very few really excel, but I think there is enough in this cup to impress. The one thing that stood out to me was it has character with its honey tones and chocolate
