Okay, so this one hit our cupping table, and we don't know a much about it!
We believe it to be the Typica varietal, and a washed coffee. We also think it's from the Sierra Maestra region to the east of the country.
What we definately know is that it's harvested between October and December, and is sun dried.
We also know that in the cup it's got a great body and smoothness, with a hint of roasted nuts and a spicy kick (think black pepper mixed with five spice). The most exemplary thing about this coffee is its body, which because of its length and depth means it makes a great espresso. However, that doesn't mean it's not good brewed as well. This is a good all rounder coffee, with some character, a novel, cute origin and a notable cup profile.
