This coffee is called El Retiro and the farm has been in the Pacas Family in 1927. It is now run by 4th generation coffee growers and has enjoyed acclaim and success since beginning a program of quality.
The farmers employ 24 people permanently and over 100 during picking season. They also provide medical care for their workersas an important part of the care package.
We have only a small amount of coffee and it won't be around for long, so do try while you can.
Expect a cup full of flowers, followed up with lovely honey sweetness that is dominate in the cup. There is some chocolate and honeycomb, but the predominate flavour of honey runs through. There is an acidity that reminds me of white wine. A delicious combination .
