| Description: |
From the growing region of Chalatenango in El Salvador, this is the result of some work done by our importer friends on a trip out there earlier on in the year. It turns out they found some stunning coffees from the Chalatenango region (something that was mirrored in the cup of excellence this year). The deal was all tied up well before the cup of excellence, but it turns out this one didn't do to bad (this isn't a lot from the competition).
I like to view this as a guest coffee, I like it but due to small amounts it wont be around for too long, so please try it before it runs out, and don't be disappointed when it does.
In the cup expect complexity and a sherbet like acidity that's fantastically balanced. In the aftertaste there's a sweet fruit and spiciness that's very special. |
