Sidamo's come and go and although often very interesting the majority are just poor Harars, and left in the shadows of a good Yirgacheffe. But this one came from left field. An offer from out supplier as a short term replacement for our dwindling African coffees turned into a gem that I hope to be able to keep for a while.
This dry processed organic sidamo is typically earthy but with a rich full bodied after taste and has a real dried fruit taste (sultanas apricot that kind of thing). Works really well in both espresso and in the filter. Great honest coffee.
