Yirgacheffe is a town in the Sidamo region. We have stocked Yirgacheffe for a long time but from many different exporters. We judge these coffees on the cupping table. Because of the way Africa you cant have the same relationships with Farmers as central and south America because most of the coffee is pooled together.
At the cupping table this has some very standard profile notes. There is grapefruit without any sourness at all. That's because sweetness. It has lovely mouthfeel and a zingy acidity that makes it light and bright. In the after taste there a hit of bergamot that's almost like drinking earl grey. Added to all these lovely details its certified organic, and a very fine organic indeed.
