Finca Puerta Verde is located in Ciudad Vieja, Sacatapéquez. The name 'Puerta Verde' came from a green door that is part of the farm.
The Puerta Verde farm is owned and operated by brothers and sisters committed to quality and a firm understanding of the importance of preserving the environment.
In the family since the late 19th century, there is quite a heratige to this farm. The family are fourth generation coffee growers from the Valley of Panchoy, with its rich volcanic soil, long growing history and great water supplies.
The farm does not have its own wet mill, so the coffee is processed off-site, however, the the resulting coffee pulp and other organic materials are still used as organic fertiliser on the land.
In the cup expect juicy cherries and a big floral componenet, mixed with dark chocolate and a liquorice finish.
