Sumatran coffees have a great earthiness and full body that's hard to replicate anywhere else. The other great thing about coffees from this region is they make great single origin espresso shots. When I received this one I didn't cup it at all, I just did an espresso shot and crossed my fingers, and guess what, it was wonderful. I will get round to cupping it one day, but for now its my bed time espresso.
Ok since the above description I have cupped it and it left me feeling a little depressed. I wished I'd left alone. On the cupping table it's a bit flat and in the filter it's a big disappointment. Espresso only would be my advice. There it is a wonderful single origin shot.
