Ethiopia, the birth place of coffee and home of some of the finest coffees in the world. Every variety of coffee bean across the world can be traced back to Ethiopia. It is the only indigenous location for coffee growing.
Yirgacheffe is one of the most famous growing regions. Unlike many of the other coffees we sell, we know little about the provenance of this one beside the information contained here, so all the judging has to be on the cupping table - which is not a bad thing!
In the cup expect light, bright grapefruit like acidity, a classic trait in fine Yirgacheffe, with a light floral/jasmine coffee blossom. A really nice light cup that is fantastic in filter coffee.
