Description:
Juan José Ernesto Menéndez Argüello, or as he likes to be called 'Neto', has become one of our our most special friends at origin. Ernesto more than anyone else has gone above and beyond to find us the most wonderful coffees he can, from Finca Alaska to Finca La Ilusion, to the wonderful Cascara we have all been enjoying.

We have been sitting on this as a special Christmas treat. A tiny 80kg lot of Neto's grand reserve, this is the washed peaberry coffee from all three of his farms. The very best of the La Ilusion, Alaska and Los Andies crops.

Neto has taken great care in producing this amazing peaberry, choosing only the very best of the crops from each of his farms. We are privileged to be able to get this coffee, a real treat.

In the cup there is the big hit of spice tied with an underlying sweetness, think 100s and 1000s chocolate sweets and a super complex acidity of oranges and peaches. But the biggest part if the mouthfeel and body a HUGE cup.

It is a must try, it is a must have, and I encourage you to dive in and try it whilst it's here, if for nothing else than to experience the amazing variety of coffees that this great man can grow.
