Hello and welcome to volume 2 edition Nine of the Has Bean newsletter. If
you missed any of the earlier ones they can be found at

1. New Additions

Back by popular demand, one of the best equipment sellers of last year. They
come in a new package this time which has meant we have been able to drop
the price fro £9.99 to £4.99. We have also made a page with further
information at www.hasbean.co.uk/grow.htm or take a look at the item at
www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/grow.htm . We also have two very special
Nicaraguan's.

Grow your own coffee tree kit(ref 701)

Description: Back by popular demand we are pleased to offer our Grow your
own coffee tree kits. The Grow Your Own Kit contains five peat pods, a short
history of coffee, growing instructions and a dozen Kona coffee seeds from
Crocker Estate Farm, Kona Hawaii. A general rule of thumb is that if its
light bright and warm enough to wear a T shirt then these seeds will grow
well.

This item costs £4.99 each

Nicaragua Lozahoren(ref 203)

Description: The history of Nicaraguan coffee is a chequered one. In the
past the quality (to be kind) has been inconsistent. But no other country
has tried harder in the last 10 years to raise its standards. The cup of
excellence program has not only helped this process but acted as a catalyst
to tell the rest of the world of this improvement. This coffee gives you
hints of honey this crisp sweet bright offering busts out chocolate and
caramel with a simply divine after taste. Lozahoren was entered into the
mentioned cup of excellence competition. Not only did it do well, (it came
5th for the record) it was 0.08 from getting one of the special awards It
was also the highest marked cup of excellence award winner.

This item costs £2.95 per 250g bag

Nicaragua Jalapa(ref 214)

Description: On a cupping table of very distinguished Nicaraguan coffees
this one for me was a very special one for me. Add to this it was on a table
of cup of excellence award winners it was in great company. A bright citrusy
coffee reminiscent of Costa Rican coffees but it has a smooth aftertaste.
Yet another fantastic coffee bean addition to the catalogue.

This item costs £2.95 per 250g bag

2. Stock Running Low

We have had to say good bye to the Peru Organic Decaffeinated. The Columbian
Decaffeinated is now available as an alternative at
www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/cold.htm . All other stocks seem to be fine at the
moment.

3. The Hottop Home Roaster

We talked about the special offer last month but really there’s only a
little time left for you to take advantage of this great offer of £449.99,
before it goes to the full price of £499.99.

The Hottop Home Roasting Machine (ref 704)

Has Bean is pleased to offer the Hottop Home Coffee Roaster. This machine is
at the top of its class. It has proved enormously popular in the USA over
the last year and it is now available in Europe from Has Bean the European
distributor. The Hottop is computer controlled and unlike similar machines
it roasts to a "profile" like a commercial coffee roaster. It also has a
massive capacity of 250g of green coffee. It's one of the most expensive
coffee roasters available for the domestic market, but that's mainly because
it's the best. It's a robust, well engineered machine producing a very high
quality result. The Hottop has seven programmable roast levels, from a light
roast to really dark. However the operator is always in full control and as
you learn more about coffee roasting you can over-ride the programming and
decide for yourself when a roast should be complete, based on how you like
your coffee. The Hottop is now available from stock, buy one today! RRP of
this fine machine is £499.99, for a limited period buy it for £449.99

4. Selecting Specialty Coffee

It can be a challenge to choose which coffee is for you. So we have tried to
make it easier for you with our article at www.hasbean.co.uk/selecting.htm .
It will give you the low down on terms and what to look out for and what
different coffee names really mean.

5. While we browsed

Our friends at Too Much Coffee have published an article on The Mighty
Hottop. Read its detailed report at www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/tmc.htm and
follow the life of the owner of this machine and the ups and downs.

Thanks again for your supports with out you Has Bean would be a lonely
place. Please let me know your thoughts on the site, what you like what you
don’t, and any opinions on the newsletter, what coffee's you would love us
to stock.
