1. New Additions
We have managed again to find more fantastic beans, a Costa Rican
that s magnificent, a relationship Columbian with a difference
and a Brazilian that s works really well in espresso. We have
some new equipment that s at a great price and a selection
pack with Christmas in mind.
Columbian Relationship Supremo Singlo XXI(ref 216), Cost: £3.20
per 250g bag
This is another of our fine relationship coffee s that assures
you the customer that it has been fairly traded and a good price
paid for a quality coffee. It comes from a cooperative in Columbia
with a difference. This Coop is run by 50 women who produce some
of the finest coffee s I have tasted from Columbia. Its mild
delicate chocolate overtones combined with its very balanced body,
and bright flavoursome after taste makes it a great cup. Medium
Roast

Costa Rica Dota Tarrazu(ref 217), Cost: £2.95 per 250g bag
Dota is a small region of the Tarrazu valley, in Costa Rica .With
many similar characteristics to standard Tarrazu coffee s
it s always going to be good. But Dota s unique soils
and farming skills make it even better. In the cup you will find
lots of Fruit (particularly berry) tastes followed by the creaminess
expected from Costa Rican coffee. The caramel after taste is divine
with a really clean and smooth taste. This is a truly special and
heavenly cup that you must try.

Brazil "Washed" Fazenda da Lagoa(ref 218), Cost: £2.95
per 250g bag
Another Brazilian ! Well there s an awful lot of coffee in
Brazil. Unfortunately a lot of it is not very good. But this is
another gem that must be tried. From the Fazenda da Lagoa coffee
plantation is situated in the north-eastern part of the famous coffee
growing region of Minas Gerais, only a few hundred kilometres away
from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, at an altitude of around
1,100 meters above sea level. This slightly nutty, low acidity,
medium body, earthy cup is a nice drink in the filter/French press
but where it really excels is as espresso! Here it comes alive,
also great in a blend

2. Stock Running Low
We have had to say goodbye to the Guatemalan El Injerto, Costa
Rican Bandola. The decaffeinated Columbian stocks are running low,
but we hope to have a new decaf very soon, that surprised us how
good it is.
3. While we Browsed
Yours truly is world famous now. An article that was originally
published on www.toomuchcoffee.com
has made it to a web site state side. Why not take a look at this
very informative site (with great taste) at http://www.ineedcoffee.com/04/blending/
Whilst browsing around the web I found this great article on tamping
from our friends at the coffee house magazine. Well worth a look
http://www.coffee-house.org.uk/tampers.html
So that s it for another month, again thanks for your continued
support. Please let us know if you have any ideas on how we could
improve things or even on what we do well. It s always good
to hear from you the customer.
