Hello and welcome to edition seven of the Has Bean newsletter. If you missed any of the earlier ones they can be found at www.hasbean.co.uk/news.htm

1. New Additions

Have we some new additions or have we got some new additions. We now have a new section on the site exclusively for La Cafetiere. I meet this company at a trade fair at the NEC and was instantly impressed with not only there good but one of there guys on the stall. We are now proud to announce that we have a wide range of there stuff. One of the most impressive piece of kit is the Moka Easy electric mocha pot www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/moka.htm . These things look and behave like a stove top mocha pot but with the convenience of automatic switch off and being very switch on and offable! The recommended retail price of these is £39.99 but at has bean you can get one for only £37.99. We also have managed to get some other great stuff from La Cafetiere . Theres caferiers to stove top mocha pots and kettles. They can be all found at www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/lacaf.htm

Our Bodum range also continues to grow. And the additions are great. Coffee experts (just go along and ask on alt.coffee newsgroup) think the filter coffee is best brewed in a vacuum maker. We have stocked the bodum mini santos maker for a while now www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/minisantos.htm but now we have managed to get a manual version. It's a complete kit that needs no power outlet. Place it on your dinner party table and let your guests watch there coffee be brewed. Its powered by a spirit stove and comes with a cleaning brush and stirrer and scoop and all. It can be found on www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/santosset.htm .

Also added to the range is Has Beans first Burr Grinder. Burr grinding is always preferable (its what all the expensive grinders do) but we failed to find one that was good, reasonably priced or available to us. Well bodum have turned up trumps again with the Antigua grinder. The grinder can be adjusted from a coarse French press setting to a fine Italian espresso setting. The Antigua is also provided with a timer-switch allowing you to grind any amount of coffee up to 8 cups at a time. It comes in attractive black., and is available now for only £44.95. It can be found at www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/antigua.htm

Last month you may remember that I announced that we had managed to get our first shipment of books. Well we have managed to expand that range further. We have books ranging from just £3.00 to £11.99 with most cheaper than anywhere else I've found so far on the net and all in stock for immediate delivery. Pop along to www.hasbean.co.uk/offers/books.htm and have a look.

As I said in the last newsletter I've tried to stabilise the coffees we offer on the site so as to one not overwhelm you all but to still offer a wide choice. But as the summer comes and we have been online for over six months its time to freshen up the range. From next month we will be taking delivery of some exiting beans. I'm not going to announce them until I have them in the roastery but rest assured, exiting times are ahead. Also the expected short fall of Australian Skyberry has been avoided and the new crop should be hitting the roaster by the end of the month. Good news for the people who mailed me panicking that it could run out.

2. Stocks Running Low

We have had to say goodbye to the Jamaican Blue Mountain organic and peaberry. Our supplier in the mountain shall we say was a little unreliable with shipping when we needed them. It has long been a priority to find a regular consistent supplier and of the normal grade A bean and we have. The old bit about having to check availability has gone out of the window as we will always have a good stock now (thanks to Neil!). But for this we had to sacrifice the organic and peaberry. They will be sadly missed and any time I can get some as a guest bean I will try.

3. While I Browsed Last month Jon found us some great funny coffee stuff, and yet again he has come up trumps. Take a look at

or even:

Also thanks to Phil one of Has Bean's oldest (not in that sense my friend) customers. He sent me this little gem that I had to put on the site for you to enjoy.

Funny stuff. Thanks for all of your support and Happy Coffee Drinking
