This is a big area, so you would expect some different tastes. There was a time that India had some very poor quality and very cheap coffee. They have since done a lot of work in order to raise quality in general and good Indian coffee now goes beyond just Monsoon Malabar.
The Indonesian islands have some of the treasures of the coffee world with Sumatra and Kalosi. They bring something different to the coffee party with their big bodied and natural processed coffee. With millions of small farmers involved provenance is very difficult to tie down, though these is now a lot of work being done these days to improve the availability of information.
Then there is Australia, which really should have its own Oceania category, but it has such a small production that we have included it in this category. Although tiny in terms of coffee production, just as with its wine, ignore Austrailia at your peril!
