Bolivia rocks, its for me one of the most exciting growing areas at the moment. On my trip to Coroico we found this coffee. On the cupping table it jumped out as a great coffee This farm is located in the west of the Caranavi province in the Nueva Llusta colony in the San Lorenzo region at the heart of one of the Bolivian natural reserves which is home to a rich diversity of animal and bird life. Doña Julia and Don Pedro belong to the well recognized Cenaproc organization, a producers’ association located in Caranavi comprising 85 families. CENAPROC’s farms cover 760 hectares of mountain slopes with natural shade ranging in altitude from 1.400 and 1.700 m. Each family has an average of 9-10 hectares. Doña Julia and Don Pedro took part in the Bolivia Cup of Excellence 2007, although this farm passed through the National Jury, it missed out on the International Jury selection and final auction. In the cup its very Clean cup, with tones of dark berry fruit, lingering aftertaste with hints honey and sugar cane, bold and rich in the finish.
