Description:

So this is a guest espresso for a short time only, and it is a very special one too.

My friend and co-host of the video blog "Tamper Tantrum" (oh yes, and not in the least the 2009 4th placed competitor in the 2009 World Barista Championship), Colin Harmon, has opened a new coffee shop in Dublin city centre.

Being the billy big boots he is, Colin wanted something special and ultimately delicious for his espresso blend. To reach the final blend was not a smooth road, and one upon which we nearly pulled each other's hair out. Once I finally understood exactly what he wanted, we had run out of time. So there was no opportunity to send a sample and no time for Colin to taste the coffee that would open his shop! Not much pressure then.

But we pulled it off, Colin was very happy with it, we were very happy with it, and most importantly his customers are extremely happy too. It's a seasonal blend that won't be around for long in his shop which is situated at 54 Middle Abbey Street in Dublin.

What? Dublin is too far? Then try it here for a limited time only. Just four weeks then it's gone (and it may even run out before then).

So what's in it? The blend is made up of Bolivian Machacamarca, Brazilian Sao Judas and El Salvador La Illusion. Three Monster coffees and if we sold this blend anywhere else it would be £7-£8 a 250g bag. But we want you to try it, so for the limited availability run we are offering it at a great price, making this a must try blend.

In the cup expect smooth balance from the Bolivian with a huge natural sweetness. The Sao Judas adds a bitter chocolate depth, with the El Salvador bringing along the fruit bowl to add acidity and depth.

"Quick Look" Flavour Guide:
Sweet, balanced, acidity, dark chocolate.
Roast Information:
Tough to roast this one. Take it into second without a doubt, but not too far, you don't want greasy beans, just enough to have specks of oil showing. Be careful it can run away.
