Description:

Our friend, Fiaz Moosakutty, the farmer of our great Monsoon Malabar coffee, has come up with another treat. I’m not a fan of Indian coffees generally, so I always worry a little when sampling. However, I always keep an open mind, and when this was recommended to me as an espresso component by a top barista, I thought it worth a try. It intrigued me that he thought a peaberry would work in espresso, as I generally tend to find them a little overpowering in a blend.

A slice of humble pie for Leighton. This is earthy, rich and big coffee. There is no acidity in this one at all, just a nutty and almost cigar like taste to it. All of this is on its own; great coffee Mr Moosakutty.

Now, add it to a blend and it can calm down all of those fruit bowl coffees. Not so much that it hides them, it actually compliments them and tones down some of their huge acidity.

"Quick Look" Flavour Guide:
Nutty, bold, big tobacco, cigar.
Roast Information:
Dark Roast this one, and if you are able, do slighlty drag out the gap between first and second crack by keeping it going up slowly.
Good for espresso? Yes Good for filter? No
