This is a cooperative coffee produced by a group of very small producers from the areas of San Roque, Santa Rosa, El Carmen, and Alto Capa Rosa in the municipality of Oporapa, so to find out this much information is amazing.
Our export partner, Banexport, helped us to find this coffee. We cupped it alongside some super high quality Colombian coffees (Cup of Excellence winners), and it was one of our favourites. It was bought 100% on its cup quality, and I think this one will become a huge coffee for us because of it being simply delicious and tasty.
In the cup expect red berries; in the mid-cup expect a lovely caramel and milk chocolate, with a super brown sugar sweetness. An amazing brewed coffee: an awesome espresso. It even works with milk. Is there nothing you can't do, Oporapa?!

When Steve asked 'Is there nothing you can't do, Oporapa?!' I wondered if it would suit the Toddy Brewer.
It does.
I love it as an iced coffee and the wife uses the concentrate a bit like an 'instant'.
It works in espresso and the aeropress.
A great all rounder, just hope it doesn't run out too soon.

Excellent coffe, the best I've tried this year from HasBean so I've oredered it again.
Excellent aroma and the flavour lasted until the last percolation.

This was a very interesting coffee. I usually have espresso or a shortish black American with 2 shots with a dab of sugar.
This coffee make both are excellently. I found the coffee to be sweet and I didn't need to add any sugar at all. No hint of bitterness so I would urge anyone who normally has sugar and or milk to leave them out and go for this one straight up. An unusual taste with a really long finish full of berries.
On the down side. I found it a little hit and miss. Practice makes perfect. I had one or 2 cups that did not work out but on the whole it was very reliable.

I usually buy Guatemalan coffee and then try one other. This time I chose this Oporapa and found it absolutely fantastic. Its a smooth, chocolatey coffee - easy to drink in any form. I'm buying again whilst I can. One of the best yet.

I'm just finishing my Aeropress-made cup of this Colombian and I must say that this is one of the coffees that have left me really excited after the very first sip. Fantastic caramel sweetness with some acidity of berries coming in with really unique style, it's like caramel sauce with cowberries in it! So yeah, I kinda like it

Can't buy any more of this or I'll die of a coffee overdose. Great coffee as an espresso but have been really enjoying it with milk too. Sweetness cuts through the milk, finishes very smooth. Agree the tasting notes are spot on.

Delicious cafetiere.

In an aeropress there is the lovely rich, chocolate/caramel the notes suggest with the red fruit, so smooth. As an espresso the fruit is intense but the flavour beautifully rounded. Price is a steal too!
Could be heading for my list of top Hasbean coffees I think...

Another winner, cupping notes are pretty much bang on for me, fantastic aftertaste and mouthfeel luring me back for more. . . . there goes my blood pressure!
