I’m not a fan of Indian coffees generally, so I always worry a little when cupping them. They tend to be dirty, baggy and generally not nice. This coffee proves that there are some very big exceptions to that generalisation; it is an earthy, rich and big coffee. There is no acidity in this one at all, just a nutty and almost cigar like taste to it.
Great blend component, great single origin shot, not a wallflower at all, this coffee is a big bruiser that is full of flavour. In the cup expect a little bit of tobacco, but with a smooth side of chocolate and a nutty finish. A huge body and big presence in the mouth.

This coffee really has very little acidity - so for those who prefer it that way, this is the one to go for.

I usually buy South American and brew in an aeropress and decided to try something a bit different. I was disappointed by the lack of acidity in this coffee having not really understood what that meant. I'm sure however that this will be delicious if you like this sort of flavour!

I just knew this was going to be a good coffee as soon as I opened the packet! What a great aroma; one of the best I have smelt.
A great strong coffee, but very very smooth, with no acidity at all.
I think the scoring is wildly out at 87/100, still if it means that the coffee is not popular and it is available for longer, that's good enough for me!!

I'm now on my third bag of this coffee. It's just a great day-to-day coffee. I've tried it in the Aeropress and in the French Press. To my mind it's better in the French Press, but its still tasty in the Aeropress.
The best way for me to describe the taste, is that it's a put your good suit on, and go to work in the office; type of coffee.

Stephen's description captures this exactly. I usually don't like Indian or bold coffees, but this is a nice musty one. I usually prefer African coffees - this is the exact opposite of a Yigarcheffe! It doesn't taste burnt like some of these bold coffees do. Had it in cafetiere and filter, both were good.

I have been ordering these beans for quite some time and they always deliver. I like a big coffee taste for using in my Jura, this coffee is amazing with a cappuccino. It cuts through the milk and the taste for me is perfect, deep dark and as described 'cigar' like. Is my regular and favourite bean. Is also good as an espresso, try it like that first to experience and appreciate the fine taste. 10/10 from me

I have been somewhat jaded by many of the more recent coffees from Has Bean, but this sounded interesting, so I bought it along with two other new to me and one I thought was a more reasonable recent addition to my tastes. when they arrived, I had forgotten the 'notes' so tried them (as always without reference to the label notes, which more often than not confuse me.
I tried this medium ground in my usual filter machine... I found out later the notes say it's not a good filter coffee, but I really enjoyed this - as I say, the best I've had for quite some time!
Very flavourful, but smooth without the sharp, harsh flavour (which I presume tallies with the 'acid' description in tasting notes). Very much to my liking and even got a good rating from my better half - we often have differences in preference.
I've ordered some more and I can't wait to try it as an espresso!

I've tried several Hasbean bean varieties, and decided to try two of the Indian Peabery varieties. I found both fairly one-dimensional; mainly just a bit bitter, earthy and I wouldn't say non-acidic. I think the Hasbean roast was dark which may suit the bean, but it wasn't great in the Cafetiere. It was ok as espresso, but I ended up blending it to give a more pleasant taste.

I like this a lot as an espresso. Generous crema; no acidity, but a bright tamarind sweetness; choc-nut body; subtle cigar smokiness; immediate gum-tingling caffeine hit. Could get very addictive…
