This is a list of "some" of the others sites/projects we have at Has Bean we like to call the "Has Bean Empire" please take a look give us some feedback on the other things we do.
Loading... Please wait...So called because 'Monsoon' coffees are stored in special warehouses in the port town of Malabar until the monsoon season comes around. The sides of the structure are then opened allowing the moist monsoon winds to circulate around the picked green beans making them swell in size and take on a mellowed, yet aggressive, musty flavour. They turn very pale in colour and become brittle. Monsoon Malabar is difficult to roast, but that's our problem. You'll get the most unusual tasting coffee that we've found so far.
We have been shown many different Monsoon Malabar coffee samples that are not to my liking. This one is by far one of the very best I've ever tasted, grown by our friend Fiaz Moosakutty who pays great care and attention to it, and you can taste that in the cup.
Not everyone's bag this one, though I know that some of you adore it, and for you this will be one of the greatest examples of this coffee.
Medium to Dark Roast.

Exactly nwhat I was looking for, I sent an email asking for an arabic coffee that was similar to one I had tried in a Kurdish bar. and it is exactly the same.
Like the above synopsis this is a unique taste.
As for Has bean every experience I have has "Has bean" a warm and happy one. fantastic service. now to try some others.

This is the best coffee I have ever tasted. I have ordered and re-ordered - the last re-order went to one of my sons as a present, this re-order is for me! :-)

Thoughts from a non expert: If roasted well to almost a French roast, the flavour reminds me of France, but 30 years ago). If roasted slightly less, into second crack but not for long, the flavor is rich and spicy but not too bitter and guests love it. Makes a great turkish coffee in my opinion.

I have ordered and reordered the Monsoon Malabar and have never yet been disappointed. I always order something else along with it, just in case I find something beter, but not yet. Its solid tast is just great either with or without milk. Fantastic coffee!!
