So this is the part where I tell you all sorts about this coffee, a full run down of varietal, details of the producer or co-op and all the rest. If you're expecting the usual details, I'm afraid you may be a little disappointed. One thing that I can tell you is Maji means water in Swahili

This coffee hit our cupping table a few weeks back and we decided it was a great example of the Swiss Water Decaffienated method. In the cup expect good acidity, this coffee is clean and a great decaf for the filter maker. This was bought as part of a pair of coffees, one with espresso in mind and this one for filter. It will, of course, work in espresso but not for my taste. This is a very good example of decaffeinated coffee.

Clean, Bright, good acidity, good filter decaf.

  1. A very innocent, delicate coffee.

I went for a risky move and tried to make espresso out of these. Bad move, Steve warned me. It's not as good as I thought I'd be. It's too delicate. I can't make a filter coffe, as I never tried and experimented with filter grind. It is nice, but not my favourite. I shall listen to the experts next time. :)
