About this tea:
Whilst haggling in the souks of Morocco, we discovered tea with mint and sugar, lots of sugar, as the Moroccans love their tea sweet - very, very sweet. In part this is because they use Gunpowder Green, a tea that can at times be so harsh as to need sugar to remove the astringency. After much trial and error, we opted for a green tea called Precious Eyebrows, which is a more delicate tea. Better to change the base tea than your teeth, we reckoned.
Compare the large leaf in our tea temples to the dust in your regular tea bag; whole leaf is best.
Taste:
A delicate green tea with a punchy mint taste.
Try it:
Pure, the way we like it, but for that real North African experience add sugar, heaps and heaps of sugar. Then flog your hall carpet to the people at the bus stop.
Good if you’re feeling: Rough on the inside and worse on the outside. Green tea and mint are a great cure-all.
