Las Delicias is another farm from the Mierisch family who you’ll know from farms like Cerro Azul, Limoncillo, Mama Mina, Escondida and Milligros. While we haven’t been sourcing from Las Delicias for as long as some of the others, we’ve been delighted by the farm’s Nicaraguan coffee every year since.
Much of the flavour the Mierisch family get in their coffees is thanks to their processing, which is Eleane Mierisch’s area of expertise. She works in the family business but hadn’t owned her own farm until she acquired Las Delicias a few years ago. As a local coffee expert, Eleane knows the area very well. Her advanced knowledge of agronomy, the land, and what it's capable of is almost unparalleled! Add to this her passion for coffee, and we fully understand why she was keen to produce Nicaraguan coffee on her own farm, and why she’s so good at it.
