The Villa Sarchi varietal of arabica coffee plant was discovered near the Costa Rican town of Sarchi, in the western valley. This short plant has become a favourite among local producers as it's well suited to the environment there. Finca Carmela, not far from Sarchi, is a great example of the classic, super sweet taste profile this plant is famous for producing.
