This week's Passenger subscription is from the Caranavi region of Bolivia. Las Alasitas isa pioneering farm owned by the Rodriguez family, who are working hard to increase production in a country that otherwise would have ceased growing coffee. This particular lot is a Longberry variety. Hailing from Ethiopia it brings a lot of the same complexities you'd expect from an African coffee, but with a tropical twist from the natural process.
This coffee showcases the natural process with bold notes of Mango and fig up front, followed by a boozy almond cake texture.
